There are plenty of different lotions and potions offered to care for flowing hair and skin these days that it is difficult to pick the best one. If you take a trip into your local drugstore, you’ll be greeted by row after row of shelves full of various products, all promising to be effective wonders and create miracles. I do believe the sole approach to finding out which items are right for you would be to experiment and check out yourself. One among my favourites that I’ve been using for a time now could be argan oil.

Sometimes called ‘liquid gold’, this is a natural product, purchased from the kernels of the argan tree that is indigenous to Morocco. It’s utilized as a moisturiser as well as in products to tend your hair. This is due to the fact the oil includes a high nutrient content and is abundant with efas, anti-oxidants and e vitamin which is vital for healthy skin and hair. It is also renowned to create hair soft, silky and shiny and to make curly hair more manageable. Other reported advantages of argan oil for hair add the promotion of healthy hair growth, prevention of scalp dryness and itching as well as the restoration of dry and damaged hair. Like a non-greasy, easily absorbed oil it is used as a skin moisturiser which may benefit dried-out skin especially. It is also known for it’s anti-ageing properties and many advocates of argan oil have stated how it helps their skin conditions for example acne and eczema. I have tried personally argan aceite to help treat dry skin on my joints plus it worked very well personally and left my skin beautifully smooth and soft without any irritation.

As a result of it’s benefits, celebrities including Julia roberts, Charlize Theron, Kylie Minogue, Madonna and Taylor Swift are users of argan oil to aid look after their head of hair and skin. It’s even starting out show up in mascara formulas as it is claimed it will help to create your lashes longer plus more lustrous. My hair is very dry and contains a wiry texture (it almost feels like fine fishing line) and the oil in it’s pure form can help to add moisture and softness to my hair. If you live lucky enough to get have naturally soft hair, argan oil is a nice completion to add extra gloss and shine.

Although finding shampoos, conditioners, hair styling products and skincare products containing argan oil is straightforward, as a result of oil’s rarity they come at a relatively high price. While i mentioned earlier on, the oil is obtained from the argan tree which can be seen in southern Morocco. The traditional technique of extracting the oil was to collect argan fruit, dry it, extract the nuts, crack these phones reveal the kernels and after that to crush these phones release their oil. The procedure was over by hand and took fifteen hours of labour and thirty two kilograms of fruit to create only one litre of oil! Today the kernels are mechanically cold pressed (heat damages the oil’s chemical properties). The tree is rare, extracting the oil is labour intensive… which means the high price. However, thankfully just a little oil goes further.

The scarcity from the argan tree is the place the situation lies. There are so many products available on the market now that incorporate argan oil or are marketed as ‘argan oil’ or ‘Moroccan oil’. However if you simply examine the label, you’ll find often other ingredients (such as silicon) in larger quantities compared to the actual argan oil. Cosmetic companies must strive to ensure that the production of argan oil is sustainable and also a superior quality, untainted by other oils or substances.

How do we know you are getting genuine? In case you are buying a product containing argan oil – confirm the ingredients. Be aware of ‘argania spinosa kernel oil’, it needs to be up high the components list and ideally, the product or service should contain as few ingredients as you can. Greater substances that the oil is mixed with, the less powerful the oil will likely be. If you’re buying pure argan oil, makes it within a dark coloured bottle because the light passing by having a clear bottle can break up the oil’s chemical properties. Some products which are marketed as argan oil also contain a carrier oil like olive or sunflower oil. Be also alert to the price you happen to be paying. Argan oil does not have to break the bank but concurrently, it is just a rare oil that’s labour intensive to make therefore isn’t usually sold in a ‘giveaway’ price. The best argan oil product isn’t necessarily the most expensive but don’t forget the old saying, ‘you get what you pay for’.
