There are so many different lotions and potions accessible to care for hair and skin currently that it is difficult to select the right one. If you take a vacation to your local drugstore, you’ll be greeted by row after row of shelves packed with various products, all promising to function wonders and build miracles. I do believe the one way to find out which products are best for you would be to experiment and check out for yourself. Certainly one of my favourites that I have been using for quite a while now’s argan oil.

Sometimes termed as ‘liquid gold’, it’s a natural product, purchased from the kernels of the argan tree which can be indigenous to Morocco. It is often used as a moisturiser plus in products to look after nice hair. The reason is , the fact the oil carries a high nutrient content and it is full of fat, anti-oxidants and vitamin E that’s vital for healthy hair and skin. It is usually renowned for making hair soft, silky and glossy and also to help to make wild hair more manageable. Other reported benefits of argan oil for hair are the promotion of healthier hair growth, protection against scalp dryness and itching along with the restoration of dry and damaged hair. As a non-greasy, easily absorbed oil it is usually used as an epidermis moisturiser which may benefit dermititis in particular. It is usually famous for it’s anti-ageing properties and several advocates of argan oil have stated the way it aids their skin conditions for example acne and eczema. I have used best oils for dry skin to help treat dermititis in my elbows and knees and yes it did wonders for me and left my skin beautifully smooth and soft without having irritation.

Due to it’s benefits, celebrities including Angelina Jolie, Charlize Theron, Kylie Minogue, Madonna and Taylor Swift are typical users of argan oil to assist maintain their head of hair and skin. It’s even start to can be found in mascara formulas because it is claimed it will help to make your lashes longer plus more lustrous. My locks are very dry and possesses a wiry texture (it almost seems like fine fishing line) along with the oil in it’s pure form really helps to add moisture and softness to my hair. Even if you’re lucky enough to have naturally soft hair, argan oil is a nice completion to include extra gloss and shine.

Although finding shampoos, conditioners, hairdressing products and skincare products containing argan oil is not hard, as a result of oil’s rarity they are presented in a relatively high price. When i mentioned before, the oil is taken from the argan tree which is found in southern Morocco. The regular approach to extracting the oil ended up being to collect argan fruit, dry it, extract the nuts, crack these phones reveal the kernels after which to crush them to release their oil. The method was done yourself and took fifteen hours of labour and 32 kilograms of fruit to create just one litre of oil! These days the kernels are mechanically cold pressed (heat damages the oil’s chemical properties). The tree is rare, extracting the oil is labour intensive… therefore, the high price. However, the good news is somewhat oil goes a long way.

The scarcity in the argan tree is when the situation lies. There are plenty of products in the marketplace now that incorporate argan oil or are marketed as ‘argan oil’ or ‘Moroccan oil’. However if you simply examine the label, you’ll find often other ingredients (like silicon) in larger quantities than the actual argan oil. Cosmetic companies must work hard to make sure that the supply of argan oil is sustainable as well as a high quality, untainted by other oils or substances.

How do you know you are receiving the real thing? In case you are investing in a product containing argan oil – check the ingredients. Check for ‘argania spinosa kernel oil’, it should be up high all the ingredients list and ideally, the product should contain as few ingredients as you can. The harder things that the oil is when combined, the less capable the oil is going to be. If you are buying pure argan oil, make sure it is in the dark coloured bottle since the light passing via a clear bottle can stop working the oil’s chemical properties. Some products which are marketed as argan oil also have a carrier oil including olive or sunflower oil. Be also mindful of the purchase price you might be paying. Argan oil doesn’t always have to be very expensive but as well, it is just a rare oil which is labour intensive to generate and thus isn’t usually sold in a ‘giveaway’ price. The very best argan oil product isn’t just the more costly but remember the word, ‘you get everything you pay for’.
