A fresh 2016 Xmas rock track has been written, composed and then recorded in a Phuket recording studios in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the key aim of getting awareness and exposure for the Phuket island charities and Orphanage that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day website .

The tunes title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the tracks sound is a distinctive up-tempo rock n roll song. Mark wrote and semi studio recorded a demo music guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket and has kept the demo track since then awaiting the chance to record once again. In August 2016 Mark started the studio recording process and used session musicians to record the song durring a six week period. The track includes 8 differant tracks and all session musicians were from the Philippines, including the lead artist ‘Micah Javier’.
Although I’m coming home for Christmas was studio recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was done in the USA due to Mark wanted the best result and quality. The song is now ready to be heard and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site.
The key aim of studio recording I’m coming home for Xmas is to bring as many visits to the Tsunami Day site that we can and then we hope in-turn they will be kind enough to contribute to one or any of the Phuket charities, and to also download the song.
Another definitive goal is to get enough downloads of the music to fund and create a Phuket live music bar with open stage and studio / teaching room on Phuket, which will offer free lessons and tuition to local underprivileged children from the area’s colleges and children’s orphanages. Currently ‘La QingTing’ isn’t open right now but the internet site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you are wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day website to advertise his music Tsunami Day which was inspired from his own particular experiences while he was working in Patong back in 2004 when the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. As with ‘I’m Coming Home For Christmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to regional Phuket Charities and Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ site there’s numerous ways to greatly help including a Phuket Accommodation and budget flight booking to Phuket booking system. Every penny helps.
Credits: Mark would like to credit his sponsors: Michael Dietvorst (CEO of Oriental Living), Stuart Baker (GM of Food Hygiene Asia), Alan Cooke ( MBE ), Adam Goodman (GM of Two Chefs Restaurants) and Cassius Rolfe-Johnson (CEO of Phuket Home Services).
