A brand new 2016 Christmas rock-POP tune has been written, composed and then studio recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main purpose of bringing attention and exposure for the Phuket charities and Orphanage that Mark supports. The tunes title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the songs genre is a unique up-tempo rock/rock-pop track. Mark wrote and semi studio recorded a demo song guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in 2015 on Phuket island and has kept the demo guide since then awaiting the chance to record once again. In late August 2016 Mark began the studio recording process and used local session musicians to record the song over a six week period. The songs consists of 8 differant tracks and all session musicians were from the Philippines, including the lead singer ‘Micah Javier’.
Even though I’m coming home for Christmas was studio recorded on Phuket island the mixing and mastering was done in the USA due to Mark needed the best outcome and quality. The song is now ready to be heard and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ site.
The key goal of studio recording I’m coming home for Christmas is to bring as many people to the Tsunami Day website as we can and then we hope in-turn they will be kind enough to donate to one or all the Phuket charities, and to also download the track.
One other main goal is to get enough downloads of the song to help fund and setup a Phuket live music club with open stage and studio / training room on Phuket, that’ll offer free classes and tuition to local underprivileged children from the neighborhood schools and orphanages. Currently ‘La QingTing’ isn’t currently open right now but the web site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you are wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day website to promote his track Tsunami Day which was inspired from his own particular experiences while he was living in Patong back in 2004 once the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day.
