No doubt you’ve heard different testimonies from people with regards to their tricks of success in IELTS, but my story unfolds the blueprints: how I did well during my exam in just twelve days of preparation.

IELTS for me personally is like a nightmare. If you haven’t read my previous article “Conquering Fear,” i quickly recommend it that you should take a look. It says there about my have trouble with IELTS in 2007. I am aware IELTS exam in Karachi is from the outset, but you’ll get concerning this. I understand the feeling you will have completed everything, however it is too few to achieve success. Yes, the pride saying I can’t deserve this since i study seriously. Most for the reason that sentiment. I said more often than not before the phrase “I got it,” but I used to be heartbroken when I have found out Some meet my expectations.

My good friend, it isn’t really eliminate the world, I promise that. You could be successful too much like me, or a lot better than me. All you need to do is pray to God for enlightenment and rely on yourself that you can make it. For instance, in the event you hear criticism from somebody else, job it personally. Attempt to ameliorate yourself whenever possible and turn into positive on a regular basis.

Twelve days ahead of my examination day, I phoned an examiner if she could be my personal tutor for speaking; I’d pay just on her service. But she refused and laughed and said she couldn’t help me with my poor English accent.

She further added, “You needs to have corrected it time you began learning the language.”Then I asked her, “Is it simple to achieve a band score of 7 in speaking?”She answered, “Yes, but you tight on potential for success.” As an alternative to being annoyed after our conversation, Some get upset. I even thanked her for her honest opinion.

On the next day, I told myself I would consider her remark like a challenge. I knew it turned out less than fourteen days before my exam. But still, I really could accomplish a lot of things on this period of time. So daily, I tuned straight into BBC radio and ESL podcast by Dr. Jeff McQuillan and Dr. Lucy Tse. I often spoke with myself alone in front of the mirror, pondering all possible topics from the interviewer.

On Oct. 12, 2013, I took the test. I used to be so excited tomorrow because I’ve waited with this opportunity. I knew I possibly could pull it off. Through the interview, the examiner am nice in my opinion. I began talking just as much as I could and felt good about myself. The entire interview lasted for eleven minutes and went well. When the rope told me to attend after 13 days for that outcome.

After the allotted time, I verified my IELTS score on the Internet. To my big surprise, I received 7 in speaking and 7 overall. Now, I’m so happy since i can renew my Visa Screen Certificate like a professional nurse in america; It is certainly worth a go because I’ve conquered my fear once more. I trust myself when nobody is believing within me except my loved ones and our Lord Jesus.

My buddy – I managed to get, but you can accomplish it as well!

IELTS Tips

1. In listening, always read the instructions first. Some say here is the easiest part in IELTS, but I think it’s complicated because you will find matching exercises, many different accents, typing in spaces, completing information, etc. However, doing daily exercises will sharpen your ears ultimately.

2. In reading, always see the instructions first. Don’t spend too much in time one question if it is tough to grasp a thought. Skip it and answer other questions. Apply your scanning and skimming techniques. Try to find the keywords and understand what you’re reading. Don’t cheat when doing exercises. In real IELTS, you’ll never be given any other time.

3. In writing, write eligibly. Read the questions carefully and refer to the manual. Be sure you avoid repetitive words. For example, if you are using the word “important,” avoid it again within the following sentence. You may use its synonyms “essential” to exhibit the various readers that there is a number of vocabulary.
