The renewable power sector in India is increasing rapidly and presents a chance for strong financial returns. Mytrah Energy Limited is listed london and it is among the largest alternative energy producers in India today. We are thrilled to present this paper, designed in partnership with PwC India, which is the Indian renewables sector and highlights a few of the differences between it as well as the, perhaps more well known, markets in Europe.

Having built a 560 MW operating portfolio over the past 5yrs, Mytrah is benefitting from a few of the key differences highlighted on this paper:
1. India stands of power, and so, new renewable capacity produces electricity on an undersupplied market.
2. Renewable capacity is faster to advertise than alternatives like coal-fired power.
3. Renewable electricity costs are comparable to the ones from electricity from other sources.

Not like Europe, where renewables have generally displaced existing generation capacity and required heavy subsidies, India advantages from truly market-led renewable power demand, without significant subsidy. Strong support through the Government asia reinforces industry fundamentals, setting up a dynamic market which can be rapidly expanding. India already has 35 GW of renewable power capacity and promises to grow this 500% within the next six years.

What he located in the sector was surprising. India’s wind energy potential is around 80,000 MW; 15,000 MW is attached to the soil. But there was clearly not only a single large IPP [independent power producer] in the commercial. “Countries like Spain have a lot of listed wind entities, but also in India it can be near nil. Organic and natural to around 20 listed thermal companies. Along with another 10 years, wind as a possible industry include something similar to 50,000 MW. That’s a mainstream number,” says Kailas.

As we see it, India is among the most exciting power market on the globe, specifically renewables. With 400 MW in construction today as well as a pipeline exceeding 3,500 MW, we at Mytrah Energy Limited will continue to play an important role in the growth of renewable capacity. Hopefully you will likely have this paper becoming a useful and informative resource and will also be very happy to embark on further discussion.
