In the last year, many individuals have approached me asking me about my perspective, and the outlook during A Course in Miracles, for the popular book and movie The secrets. I was also recently motivated to be involved in a specialist panel discussion for the Secret along with the law of attraction in the Body Soul Spirit Expo in Calgary.
While i see it, The secrets supplies a few powerful and necessary global messages worth appreciating.
The 1st message is the fact that our thoughts have a powerful relation to our life. Another insight is always that were eligible for a wealthy life, although true wealth is much more than just cash and “toys.” Instead, it requires feeling fulfilled in every parts of society, including our relationships, career, and health. What we need to do is look within to find out if, the truth is, we feel merit authentic wealth.
Another message that is certainly subtly conveyed in The Secret, the other that I believe to be real, is that if we have a heartfelt desire and that we agree doing our part to manifest the desire, synchronicities arise, and dormant forces stand out.
On the other hand, I feel the notion that more “toys” in the form of cars, houses, jet planes, and boats will make us happy and are the illustration showing our ability to manifest is potentially damaging and crippling for many people who will be already “bankrupt” within the regions of self-love and self-appreciation. The situation with this particular picture could be that the need to have often develops from a sense of lack rather than a sense of completeness. And because of this, everything we get more hopes of feeling “full,” whole, happy, or accomplished, will in the end not work, since we feel a void internally.
The fact is that we’re not empty, but already full, so when we know and feel this being our new reality, then the outer world sets out to “echo” our inner awareness.
Training in Miracles reminds us that to the degree that individuals can accept and stay truly grateful for your inheritance for being an unbounded, abundant, whole, and unlimited Self, we are going to attract to ourselves an ideal outward expressions of our claimed inner worth. This reclaiming in our authentic Self will then miraculously bring into manifestation any material items that will serve the more good of both our life as well as those around us, yet we’re going to feel no dependency upon them for happiness.
