Over the past year, many people have approached me asking me about my perspective, and also the perspective of A training course in Miracles, on the popular book and film The secrets. As I view it, The secrets supplies a few powerful and necessary global messages worth appreciating.
The initial message is always that our thoughts have a powerful influence on our life. The subsequent insight is always that we’re eligible to a wealthy life, although true wealth is much more than just cash and “toys.” Instead, it requires feeling fulfilled in every fields, including our relationships, career, and health. Another message that’s subtly conveyed in The Secret, and something i believe to be true, is always that when we possess a heartfelt desire so we accept doing our part to manifest the desire, synchronicities arise, and dormant forces stand out.
On the other hand, I feel the notion that more “toys” available as cars, houses, jet planes, and boats can make us happy and will be the demonstration of our chance to manifest is potentially damaging and crippling for many individuals who will be already “bankrupt” in the parts of self-love and self-appreciation. The issue with this picture could be that the desire to have often comes from a feeling of lack instead of a a sense completeness. And because of this, everything we gain in about feeling “full,” whole, happy, or accomplished, will finally not work, since we feel a void internally.
In fact we aren’t empty, but already full, so when we know and feel this to be our new reality, then the outer world actually starts to “echo” our inner awareness.
A Course in Miracles reminds us that to the degree we can accept and stay truly grateful for your inheritance for being an unbounded, abundant, whole, and unlimited Self, we will attract to ourselves the perfect outward expressions in our claimed inner worth. This reclaiming of our own authentic Self might miraculously bring into manifestation any material items that behaves the greater good of both our life in addition to those around us, yet we will feel no dependency upon them for the happiness.
