A fresh 2016 Xmas rock n roll tune has been written, composed and then studio recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main aim of getting awareness and exposure for the Phuket island charities and children’s Orphanages that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day website .

The tracks name is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the tracks sound is a unique up-tempo rock n roll song. Mark wrote and partially recorded a demo song guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in 2015 on Phuket island and has kept the demo song since then looking forward to the possibility to record once again. In August 2016 Mark started the recording process and used session musicians to record the track durring a 6 week period. The songs consists of 8 separate tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the lead singer ‘Micah Javier’.
Although I’m coming home for Christmas was recorded on Phuket island the mixing and mastering was done in the USA as a result of Mark wanted the most effective outcome and quality. The music is currently ready to be heard and downloaded by visiting the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site.
The key goal of recording I’m coming home for Christmas is to bring as many folks to the Tsunami Day web site as possible and then hopefully in-turn they will be kind enough to donate to one or all of the Phuket island charities, and to also buy the track.
One other primary goal is to be able enough downloads of the track to fund and create a Phuket live music bar with open stage and recording studio / teaching room on Phuket, that will provide free instructions and tuition to local underprivileged children from the neighborhood schools and orphanages. Currently ‘La QingTing’ is not currently open yet but the website is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you’re wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day website to advertise his tune Tsunami Day which was influenced from his own personal experiences while he was working in Patong in 2004 once the Tsunami hit Patong on boxing day. Much like ‘I’m Coming Home For Xmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and children’s Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site there is numerous ways to simply help including a Thailand Accommodation and cheap flight booking to Thailand booking system. Every cent helps.
