A new 2016 Christmas rock track has been written, composed and then recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main intention of providing attention and exposure for the Phuket charities and children’s Orphanages that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day, Phuket site .

The songs name is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the songs is a unique up-tempo rock/rock-pop track. Mark wrote and partially studio recorded a demo song guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket island and has kept the demo song since then awaiting the possibility to record once again. In late August 2016 Mark started the recording process and used local session players to record the tune over a 6 week period. The track includes 8 separate tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the lead singer ‘Micah Javier’.
Although I’m coming home for Christmas was recorded on Phuket island the mixing and mastering was done in the USA due to Mark needed the most effective outcome and quality. The track is now ready to be listened to and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ Website.
The main aim of recording I’m coming home for Christmas is to bring as many visits to the Tsunami Day site as possible and then we hope in-turn they will be kind enough to donate to at least one or all the Phuket island charities, and to also download the track.
The other primary goal is to be able enough downloads of the track to fund and create a Phuket live music club with open stage and recording studio / training room on Phuket, that will provide free instructions and tuition to local underprivileged kids from the local schools and orphanages. Up to now ‘La QingTing’ is not currently open yet but the web site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you’re wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day site to advertise his song Tsunami Day that was influenced from his own personal experiences while he was living in Patong back in 2004 once the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. Much like ‘I’m Coming Home For Christmas’the song Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site there is numerous ways to help including a Thailand Hotel and cheap flight booking to Thailand booking system. Every dime helps.
