A brand new 2016 Xmas rock-POP track has been written, composed and then recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main intention of getting awareness and exposure for the Phuket island charity and children’s Orphanages that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day site .

The tracks title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the tracks style is a unique up-tempo rock/rock-pop song. Mark wrote and semi recorded a demo song guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket island and has kept the demo song since then looking forward to the opportunity to record once again. In late August 2016 Mark began the studio recording process and used session musicians to studio record the tune durring a 6 week period. The track includes 8 differant tracks and all session musicians were from the Philippines, including the lead singer ‘Micah Javier’.
Although I’m coming home for Christmas was recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was made in the USA as a result of Mark needed the most effective outcome and quality. The music ready to be heard and downloaded by visiting the ‘Tsunami Day’ site.
The main aim of studio recording I’m coming home for Xmas is to bring as many visits to the Tsunami Day website as possible and then hopefully in-turn they’ll be good enough to give to one or any of the Phuket charities, and to also buy the track.
The other primary goal is to get enough downloads of the music to fund and setup a Phuket live music pub with open stage and studio / training room on Phuket, that’ll provide free classes and tuition to local underprivileged kids from the neighborhood colleges and children’s orphanages. Currently ‘La QingTing’ is not open yet but the web site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you’re wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day web site to promote his tune Tsunami Day which was influenced from his own particular experiences while he was living in Patong in 2004 once the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. As with ‘I’m Coming Home For Christmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ site there’s numerous methods to simply help including a Phuket island Accommodation and budget flights to Phuket booking system. Every penny helps.
