Language & Religion

The official language of Tajikistan is Tajik. Russian is used regularly for communication and business.

Food and beverages

The food on the tour tends predominantly on soups, proteins and potatoes. There are a few vegetables that are difficult to locate in remote areas or in higher elevations. There are plenty of dried fruits and nuts to try though.

The options for alcohol are limited to beers or vodka. If you want to try something different, such as Scotch or Gin is recommended to buy the alcohol duty-free and bring it along. It isn’t easy to locate mixer drinks such as tonic water.
